Create a festive platter of Halloween treats that are fun, colorful, and easy to make – perfect for parties and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzel rods or twists
  • 1 cup melting chocolate (white or dark)
  • Halloween-themed sprinkles or edible eyes
  • 1 box of chocolate or vanilla cake mix
  • Eggs, water, and oil (as per cake mix instructions)
  • Frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Food coloring (for color-matching with Halloween themes)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • Assorted gummy candies (such as worms, spiders, or creepy gummies)
  • Apples, oranges, or pears (to cut into spooky shapes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cupcakes: Bake following box instructions, cool completely, frost, and decorate with sprinkles or gummy candies.
  2. Make Rice Krispie Treats: Melt butter and marshmallows, combine with Rice Krispies and food coloring, then shape into spooky shapes.
  3. Melt Chocolate: Melt chocolate until smooth.
  4. Dip Pretzels: Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate and decorate before it hardens.
  5. Arrange Gummy Candies: Scatter assorted gummy candies on the platter for decoration.
  6. Cut and Shape: Use cookie cutters to shape fruits into spooky designs and arrange them on the platter.

Notes

Chill ingredients to prevent chocolate from hardening too quickly; double up on recipes if hosting a large gathering.
