A fun and festive burger dish perfect for Halloween celebrations, featuring a spooky presentation that delights both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or your choice of protein)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
  • 1 cup black olives (sliced)
  • Lettuce leaves (for garnish)
  • Ketchup or mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Form patties: Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty; this helps them cook evenly.
  3. Cook the patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
  4. Assemble the burgers: Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Add lettuce and any additional condiments you like.
  5. Create the spiders: For each burger, use half of a black olive for the body and slice the remaining olives into thin strips for the legs. Arrange the legs around the body to create a spider.
  6. Finish: Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure your grill is well-heated before adding patties for a good sear. Avoid pressing down to keep them juicy. Use gluten-free buns for a gluten-sensitive option.
