These spooky deviled eggs are transformed with a creamy avocado filling, making them a fun and festive treat for your Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 medium ripe avocado
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional for creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Optional: Black olives or edible googly eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs: Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil, then cover the pot and remove from heat. Let sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool and peel: Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes. Tap on a hard surface and peel.
  3. Prepare the filling: Slice the peeled eggs in half, remove yolks, and mash with avocado, mayonnaise, mustard, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill the egg whites: Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg whites.
  5. Add spooky touches: Sprinkle with paprika and add olives or googly eyes as decoration.
  6. Chill and serve: Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Use eggs that are at least a week old for easier peeling. Adjust the creaminess with mayonnaise to your preference.
