A classic dish that combines juicy beef, melted cheese, and crisp pickles, perfect for summer cookouts or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20 for a juicy burger)
  • 4 slices Cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 4 Hamburger Buns (whole grain or brioche)
  • 4 slices Pickles (dill or sweet)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • Optional Toppings: Lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, ketchup

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper gently in a bowl.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, without pressing down on them.
  5. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on top of each one, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, cheesy patty, pickle, and any additional condiments.

Notes

Handle the meat gently to avoid dense patties. Use a meat thermometer to ensure burgers reach 160°F.
